  • Founded by Charles (pictured on left) and Edith Bombardier in 1977 the International 180/185 Club, Inc. was a rebirth of an earlier effort called 180's International run by Baja Bush Pilots founder Arnold Senterfitt. The original goal was very limited; to have a small group of friends with similar type planes to go fishing, camping, etc. with. The club has grown since then into something more, with over 1800 members in 24 countries. Past presidents have been Charles "Bomber" Bombardier, 1977-1990, Howard "Buz" Landry 1990-1994, Johnny Miller 1995-1999, Scott White 1999-2002 and current President Dave Hayden. If you have any questions regarding the club, you can contact Dave Hayden at 913-884-2187 Phone or 913-884-2167 Fax.

You must own a 180 or a 185 to be eligible to join the club. We are one of the few type clubs to actually require aircraft ownership as a prerequisite of membership and we are for that very reason one of the most active type clubs today. The club holds fly-ins each year in the U.S., Mexico, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. We are a family type organization and encourage the entire family to participate in club events.

We publish a ten page newsletter approximately every seven weeks. The newsletters contain information on flying events, reports on travel by club members, technical information and maintenance hints, and a classified section listing planes and parts for sale or wanted by club members.

Should you be the owner of a 180 or 185 and wish to join please fill out a club application and return it along with a check for $20 (U. S. funds) for 2001 calendar year to the address at the bottom of the form. It is very important that you fill out all of the blanks on aircraft information as we must verify aircraft ownership to process your application. Click HERE for application.
