History:

Lived and flew in California for years. Currently located at KPRB Paso Robles in the cantral valley of California. The last owner bought another plane and this one then sat. He then moved away and I bought this plane as a project because it is the right airframe with the right engine with the right mods already done.  It has not flown in 10 years.  It has not run in 5 years. Two cylinders look perfect inside. One is very good and the other is mildly discoloured. All would fly again. Compressions feel strong. The plane is complete. Tires hold air and nothing is missing. It is a project though.  With some work it would fly away.  If you plan to move it on a trailer, remember that Mooney wings come off as one piece and are 36 feet long. This is not just a "cheap Mooney" This is a project that needs work.  To buy it and own it and restore it tyou need to be a mechanic. It needs a very extensive annual and it needs paint, interior and glass. With everything done and airworthy with a GPS this plane is worth over $100,000.  It has a Western Skyways engine in it with under 600 hours on it.  The F model is the same airframe as a 201, same engine, same size internally but with the excellent manual gear. A very desirable plane but this one needs a lot of work. With the 201 windshield it even looks like a 201. Logs here.  Photos above.
